Nestled in the heart of the Western Cape, Helderberg Animal Rescue Team—better known as HART—is a small but mighty force fighting for the voiceless. Whether it’s a lost pup dodging traffic or a kitten abandoned in a box, this passionate crew jumps into action where others might turn away.

Run entirely by volunteers, HART pours heart, soul, and pure grit into every rescue, rehome, and recovery. They don’t have fancy offices or endless resources—but what they do have is a fierce love for animals, an unshakable commitment to kindness, and a community that believes every life matters.

From emergency medical cases to sterilisation drives and rehoming campaigns, HART is often the last hope for animals with nowhere else to turn. And somehow, even with limited funds, they manage to do the impossible—again and again.
