This isn’t just coffee — it’s a quiet kind of power in a cup.
Sold in aid of The 9th Day Animal Rescue.
Just like the dogs at The 9th Day, many of whom have waited years to be seen, this blend carries layers: strength, sweetness, and a depth that doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
Dark-roasted Colombian beans lay the foundation — bold and grounding, like the safety we offer every soul that crosses our path.
Brazilian beans add a soft sweetness — the gentle lean of a dog learning to trust again.
And the bright Ethiopian notes? That’s the joy of a tail wag after years of waiting.
Strength rating: 6/10.
Smooth but bold. Strong but soulful.
A cup that honours resilience — both in the dogs and in the people who care for them.
From our current two sites — a rented kennel facility and our own farm just outside Krugersdorp — we’re working toward a permanent, peaceful home where every rescue can heal in safety. The farm is ours, and so is the future we’re building on it — one pawprint, one cup of coffee at a time.
About The 9th Day Animal Rescue
The 9th Day Animal Rescue is a compassionate, volunteer-driven organization committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused, neglected, and unwanted animals. Based in South Africa, The 9th Day offers a lifeline to the voiceless — dogs and other animals who have suffered deeply and need a second chance at life.
What sets The 9th Day apart is its unwavering focus on healing — not just physically, but emotionally too. From bait dogs and cruelty cases to senior pets and hoarding victims, each rescue is treated as an individual with a name, a story, and the right to a better life. The team works tirelessly to provide medical care, love, and rehabilitation, ensuring every animal has the opportunity to find a forever home where they are truly cherished.
While the rescue traditionally operated without a formal shelter and relied heavily on foster homes, the current setup includes two active sites: a kennel facility in Krugersdorp (rented) and a privately owned farm just outside Krugersdorp. The long-term vision is to consolidate operations entirely on the farm, where construction of permanent kennels is already underway. This move will offer stability and security, ensuring that The 9th Day always has a safe space to continue its vital work — without the uncertainty of rental agreements.
Although the journey is often tough, The 9th Day stands firm in its mission: to be the voice for the broken, the brave, and the overlooked — until every heart has a home.
