Blue Bundu Brigade
Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue & Rehoming is a KwaZulu-Natal non-profit organisation focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs that have been abandoned, neglected or otherwise found themselves in need of a safe place and another chance.
The organisation's story grew from a community search for a missing Boerboel named Blue in 2019. What began with people coming together to help one dog developed into an ongoing rescue effort for many more dogs needing care, recovery and suitable new homes.
In 2026 Blue Bundu Brigade entered a new chapter after securing a new property in Waterfall, KwaZulu-Natal, giving the organisation space to continue building its rescue and rehoming work for dogs in need.
Why Blue Bundu Brigade?
Rescue often begins with one animal in trouble, but the work behind that rescue can include medical care, feeding, rehabilitation, fostering and the long search for the right permanent home.
Rescue When It Matters
Blue Bundu Brigade responds to dogs in difficult circumstances and works to get vulnerable animals into safety and appropriate care.
Recovery Before Rehoming
Rescue is only the beginning. Dogs may need nutrition, veterinary care, treatment and time to recover before they are ready for adoption.
Another Chance
The goal is not simply to remove a dog from danger, but to help that dog reach the point where a suitable and loving new home can be found.
