Rescue Roast® Post Tracker Privacy and Data Deletion
Last updated: 12 October 2026
About this app
Rescue Roast® Post Tracker is operated by RESCUE ROAST PTY LTD in South Africa. It helps authorised staff review participating animal rescue organisations' public Facebook promotions and track progress towards four Rescue Roast® posts per calendar month. Its Meta app is associated with the IDEA CUBE business portfolio.
Information processed
The current tracker stores manually entered rescue names and Facebook Page links, post links, publication dates, captions where supplied, evidence links, review notes and review status. It produces monthly counts and CSV exports. It does not currently import Facebook posts automatically.
If Meta approves Page Public Content Access and the integration is enabled, the intended import will use public Page identities, Page-authored post identifiers, captions, publication timestamps and permalinks necessary to identify Rescue Roast® promotions. Image-only promotions require manual review. The intended integration does not request private messages, follower profiles, comments or individual engagement information.
Purpose and access
Records are used for internal campaign participation reports and supporting evidence. Duplicate links are counted once. Incomplete evidence is marked for review rather than treated as proof that a rescue did not post. The Cloudflare tracker is restricted to the owner's verified email through Cloudflare Access. A separate public review demo uses fictional samples and does not connect to the private database. Sample-session changes expire after one hour or can be reset.
Service providers
The tracker is now hosted directly through Cloudflare Workers, with Cloudflare D1 providing database storage. Its D1 database was created with EU jurisdiction. A legacy copy hosted through OpenAI Sites is retained during migration. These services process information necessary to operate the app. The public notice on this website is hosted by Shopify. Public evidence links may lead to third-party sites, including Facebook, which have their own privacy policies. Service infrastructure may process information outside South Africa.
Retention
Post records are assigned a deletion date 12 months after they are added. The Cloudflare tracker checks and removes expired database records during daily scheduled cleanup and when the tracker is used. CSV files exported by authorised staff are separate copies and are not removed by the app's database cleanup.
Access, correction and deletion requests
To request access, correction or deletion of information held in the tracker, email info@rescueroast.co.za with the subject "Rescue Roast® Post Tracker - Data Request". Identify the rescue/Page and the post links or records concerned. Do not send Facebook passwords or access tokens. We may request information needed to verify the request and locate the relevant records. We will respond with the outcome or explain any applicable reason a record must be retained. Deletion from the tracker does not delete the original Facebook post or copies held by third parties.
