Blue Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue & Rehoming is a KwaZulu-Natal non-profit organisation focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need.
The organisation's story began in 2019 during a community search for a missing Boerboel named Blue. What started as people rallying around one missing dog grew into an ongoing rescue effort for abandoned and neglected dogs.
Blue Bundu Brigade provides rescue, recovery and rehoming support, with dogs often needing food, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and time before a suitable new family can be considered.
In 2026 the organisation secured a new five-hectare property in Waterfall, marking an important new chapter and creating space for the team to continue developing its rescue operations.
