Husky Rescue KZN rescues stray and unwanted Huskies and provides the treatment, rehabilitation and careful rehoming needed by this distinctive breed.
The organisation treats, sterilises, microchips and rehabilitates Huskies before working to place them in appropriate homes. Some dogs move through rescue relatively quickly, while others need a much longer period of care.
Because Huskies have very specific behavioural, social and security needs, the adoption process is intentionally careful. The aim is to avoid repeating the circumstances that caused a dog to become homeless in the first place.
Husky Rescue KZN also uses public walks, educational visits and community engagement to help people understand the breed and the responsibilities that come with owning one.
