About Blue Bundu Brigade 

Blue Bundu Brigade is a heartfelt volunteer initiative dedicated to uplifting rural animal welfare in South Africa. Operating in remote and often forgotten communities, this passionate team goes where others don’t — deep into the bundus — to offer hope, healing, and hands-on care to animals in need.

Run entirely by volunteers, the Brigade provides essential services such as sterilisations, vaccinations, parasite control, and basic veterinary care to dogs and cats in underserved areas. Many of the animals they encounter have never seen a vet, worn a collar, or known a gentle touch. Blue Bundu Brigade changes that — one paw at a time.

Education is at the core of their mission. By teaching communities about responsible pet ownership, nutrition, and animal health, they create lasting change and reduce suffering in generations to come.

With no formal funding, Blue Bundu Brigade relies completely on public donations and the grit of those willing to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. Their work is raw, real, and deeply needed — because no animal should be forgotten simply because they live far away.
